SBE receives highest award in Eduniversal worldwide Business School ranking

On November 18th Maastricht university School of Business and Economics was awarded five Palmes  in the Eduniversal worldwide Business Schools Ranking 2010.

Overall, Maastricht University School of Business and Economics scored 2nd behind Rotterdam School of Management (who also scored 5 palmes) in the ranking of Universal Business Schools in the Netherlands, once again securing this position since 2008. Internationally SBE was ranked 29th in the list of Universal Business Schools with a major international influence.



The ranking which sets out to give a clear and comprehensive vision of the Schools international and local influence is conducted on a yearly basis and takes into account the Business School’s influence on 3 different levels.



  • International recognition through accreditations, memberships and international, regional and local ranking
  • International reputation according to the votes of 1000 Deans. From December 2009 to March 2010, each Dean or Director of the 1,000 best academic institutions was asked a simple question: “Which business school(s) would you recommend to anyone wishing to study in this country?”
  • Suggestions from the members of the International Scientific Committee
