In Memory of Peter Bal

On Friday, 26 March 2010, our dear colleague Peter Bal passed away in a hospital on the island of Bali, Indonesia. Peter’s trip to Indonesia was part of a UM/ Mundo initiative to strengthen basic legal education in law faculties in Djokjakarta and Bali. During his stay he organised workshops on developing a modular course and coursebook in criminal law. Until the very day of his death Peter worked with the commitment and enthusiasm that characterised him and which were so much appreciated by us all.
