IGIR Fellow Dr. Denise Prevost presents session on "Science, Risks and Regulation in an International Context" at Summer Academy on Biotechnology and Society in Africa

On 14 June 2012, Denise Prevost presented a session entitled "Science, Risks and Regulation in an International Context" as part of the Summer Academy on Biotechnology and Society in Africa. This summer academy, aimed at African biotechnology regulators, was organised by the Rijksuniversiteit Groningen together with NEPAD and Michigan State University, as part of an effort to set up a group of expertise providing European perspectives on biotechnology regulation in Africa, in order to assist African countries to develop their own biosafety frameworks. The Summer Academy took place from 12-21 June 2012 in Veessen.
