Elsevier ranking 2009: First place in the Netherlands for BSc Fiscal Economics, BSC Econometrics and Operations Research, and the MSc Economics/IB

This year’s Elsevier ranking awarded first place to SBE’s MSc Economics/International Business, which is a first. SBE’s BSc programmes Fiscal Economics and Econometrics and Operations Research featured in the ranking for the first time, and scored first places. Elsevier ‘s survey on Universities and institutions of higher education is conducted amongst both peers and students in the Netherlands.
Elsevier Rankings by students:
BSc Fiscal Economics
This year Fiscal Economics appear for the first time in the ranking and was awarded a shared first place with a 7.3.
BSc Econometrics and Operations Research
Also featured for the first time and rewarded with a shared first place with a score of 7.6. We scored a staggering 9.6 in the category ‘Study Abroad Options’ as well as an excellent 8.8 for ‘Approachability of Staff’.
BSc Economics
The Economics programme was awarded second place, with several (sub-)
categories ranking well above average. The high point in this particular
overview is the 8.7 scored in ‘Study Abroad Options’.
BSc International Business
This programme was awarded second place, with ‘study abroad options’ graded an excellent 9.3. We furthermore scored exceptionally well in the categories ‘attainability first year’ (8,8) and ‘Verbal Skills’ (8,9)
MSc Economics/International Business
This programme was ranked first in its category and obtained an excellent score of 7.8. In the category ‘Skills’ we obtained an outstanding 8.8.
MSc Management of Learning
In its first Elsevier ranking the one-year old MSc Management of Learning programme was awarded second place out of nine universities. Students gave the programme a very strong overall mark of 7.8.
