CHE-ranking 2011: SBE again in the top group

4 May 2011

Every three years CHE (Centrum für Hochschuleentwicklung) publishes a ranking for prospective bachelor’s students. Maastricht University School of Business and Economics participated for the second time with the bachelor’s programmes in International Business and Economics & Business Economics, again with excellent results.

The CHE-ranking results are interactive. Prospective students can choose which criteria are important for them in reaching a decision on what programme they wish to follow and the city where they want to follow it. Participating institutes are divided into three groups: top, middle and bottom. Both the Economics and the International Business programmes have an excellent position compared to other participating universities. Out of seventeen criteria measuring student satisfaction, the BSc Economics and Business Economics is placed in the top group for twelve of them. The bachelor’s programme in International Business is also consistently ranked in the top group (15 criteria out of 17).

The ranking is based on two different surveys. First our own students were asked about their current study programme and their satisfaction level on different subjects. Second SBE was also asked to answer questions concerning the number of students and employees, the participating programmes, etc.
