Expert Lecture - Patent Reform in the USA - Sean Wooden, Partner, Andrews Kurth LLP (Washington DC)

The US has recently made some major shifts in its patent law, coming into closer alignment with practice in the rest of the world.  Mr. Wooden will discuss the extent to which such an alignment has taken place and highlight key features of the US patent reform of interest to academics and practitioners in Europe.

IGIR Expert Lecture Series and Round Table Events
The IGIR Expert Lecture Series and Round Table Events at Maastricht University Faculty of Law are offered to keep you up to speed on the latest developments in Economic Law and Intellectual Property Law and Knowledge Management. The activities are complementary to the Advanced Master International and European Economic Law (IEEL) and the Advanced Masters Intellectual Property Law and Knowledge Management (IPKM) offered at Maastricht University. 

IPKM Expert Lecture Series
A luminary in the field of Intellectual Property and Knowledge Management will be elaborating on her or his career and the challenges faced in her or his current work. This is then exemplified by an interactive session on a current topic in the field.

IPKM Round Table Events
A group of IP experts will engage in a free and frank exchange of views on a topical or controversial issue in the field of IP law and knowledge management. Round table events are conducted under Chatham House rules, meaning that you are free to utilize all information disseminated, but at no point should you attribute statements to a specific individual.
