Individuals who would like to conduct PhD studies partly on their own terms and with independent funding might consider an externally funded PhD position. You will have the benefits of accessing Maastricht University’s research community, international network and facilities while completing a PhD programme. You must be willing to hammer out a programme that works in accordance with Maastricht University research standards, rules, regulations and principles.
