Financial support
In some cases you can expect financial support from Maastricht University, for example when you’re experiencing a delay in your studies. Maybe you can’t keep up with the curriculum due to illness, pregnancy, special family circumstances or any type of impairment. UM may be able to help you out. For more information see the 'Financial support for UM students' page.
University Fund Limburg
In addition, the university has several funds you can apply for. For instance, you can request a scholarship from the University Fund Limburg if you don’t have the financial means to study abroad for a period of time. This also applies to internships or research projects that you may wish to do abroad.
Scholarships
If you come to study in Maastricht and have a non-Dutch nationality, you may be eligible for a scholarship or study grant. These are provided by the country you currently live in or by other public or private organisations. Maastricht University offers only a limited amount of scholarship opportunities for bachelor's students. Information on grants for foreign students who wish to study in the Netherlands can be found on the Nuffic website.
