Research possibilities
Not everyone wants to work in business, commerce or politics after they graduate. Maybe you want to become researcher. During your studies at UM you can already prepare yourself for a career in scientific research.
Some students are just a little more curious than others and already want to contribute to scientific research during their bachelor's degree. Would you like to take that one step further? At Maastricht University you can do so through:
- honours programmes which are available for excellent students
- Maastricht Research Based Learning (MaRBLE) which gives UM faculties the opportunity to conduct research
Sciences students
Are you interested in sciences? UM has a small but refined number of sciences programmes. You can choose between Knowledge Engineering, Biomedical Sciences and our brand new Maastricht Science Programmme (MSP). The MSP is unique in its kind: you can build your own curriculum based on your interests.
Place to be
If you choose to study in Maastricht you will likely to be involved with UM's campus initiatives. The Chemelot Campus Geleen and the Maastricht Health Campus offer education and research in the field of new materials (Chemelolt) and medical biotechnology for life sciences and health (Maastricht Health Campus); and Brains Unlimited, the new neuro-imaging platform, brings students, researchers and entreperneurs together.
