Tutorial groups

Tutorial groups play an important role in Probl)

Group processes play a major part in Problem Based Learning (PBL). The aim of the tutorial groups, which change every block (approximately every eight weeks), is to encourage you and your fellow students to solve or explain problems, to specialise in a discipline and to develop skills.

An independent approach
You receive excellent guidance from qualified tutors, who point you and your fellow students in the right direction. Your tutor will inspire you, encourage you and help you make the decisions that suit you best. This will help you develop new skills for debating, leading discussions and writing academic papers.

Learning from each other
Our small tutorial groups ensure that everyone can get involved. These groups change regularly, giving you the chance to work alongside different people with all sorts of different backgrounds. This fuels discussions and helps broaden your horizons. Working on specific problems in small groups also helps prepare you for similar situations in your future career. You gain experience in giving presentations, offering feedback, and discussing and analysing problems.
