Nomination UM Award 2009

The UM Award is presented to staff who have shown exceptional merit at the academic, service or managerial levels within Maastricht University or whose work at UM has made an exceptional contribution to society at large.

The award supplements existing UM-wide and faculty-specific awards and prizes. It consists of a bronze statuette of the renowned sculptor Desmaret, a certificate of appreciation and a €500,- dinner voucher.
 
Procedure
The recipient will be selected by an independent committee consisting of:

Nominations
Please send your reasoned nominations for the UM Award to G. Baltis-Paridaen before 23 november  2009. The committee only accepts nominations made by one person.

Selection
The committee will select one or more staff members for the award, which will be presented by André Postema, vice president of the Executive Board at the New Year’s reception.

Conditions
University and faculty board and council members are excluded from nomination, with the exception of staff who have shown outstanding merit in the area of staff representation.
