Alumni Day

Every 5 year the Alumni Office organizes an Alumni Day for graduates from all cohorts and study programmes. Since the Alumni Day was organized this year, the next one will be taking place in 2016!

Alumni Day 2011: lots of people and positive vibes

This year, the university exists exactly 35 years. Because of that, and because it was already 5 years ago there was another Alumni Day last Saturday.

More than 1000 graduates with 35 nationalities came to Maastricht to meet old friends and relive good old times. In the morning the faculties and schools organized several workshops, presentations and panel discussions with regard to recent developments.

From an analysis of the registration list it turned out that especially the “long gone’s” and recently graduated alumni were well represented. In the afternoon the alumni community gathered in the garden of the School of Business and Economics to catch up with old friends and enjoy the Burgundy life which Maastricht is famous for. Food, drinks and the weather: It was all perfectly organized. During the event, the band called the Coronas played songs from the old days on request.

Job Metsemakers, graduate from the first cohort used the opportunity to address Ine Kuppen, Alumni Coordinator, before she retires in exactly one month. Where you at the Alumni Day and would you like to give feedback, you’re very welcome to do so at alumni@maastrichtuniversity.nl.
