Education: Quality Education in Sustainable Development
Academic courses that focus on sustainable development contribute to the aim of Maastricht University to educate responsible citizens. Both the quality and the reach of such education are crucial for success. This project consists of two steps: first, develop a tool to evaluate the quality and the reach of courses offered.  Second, help course coordinators make use of the evaluation and promote inter-faculty access tocourses on sustainable development.
 
Research: Knowledge Exchange at Maastricht University and Beyond
Various scientists at Maastricht University conduct research that relates to or focuses on sustainable development. The aim of this project is to strengthen existing networks and increase the knowledge transfer among the researchers, particularly across departmental boundaries. To that end the Green Office cooperates with ICIS (International Centre for Integrated assessment and Sustainable development) to organize the Sustainability Conference 2011. This year’s conference can be the start of a more regular forum for the exchange of ideas and expertise.
