Student Award 2010 and Hustinx Stipend

Student award 2010
Since 2000, the Maastricht University Student Award has been given annually to a student (or group of students) at Maastricht University who, in addition to his or her studies, has made a special contribution to society or culture. The winner of the award is announced during the opening of the academic year.

The winners of the UM Student Award 2010 are Oliver Neumann, Michael Mandia, Albrecht Sensch, Justus Cloppenburg and Patrick Ganter with the website 'Maaslife.nl'.

The award consists of a piece of art and € 1.000,-. In addition, a portrait of the winner is hung up in the ‘student hall of fame’ in the UM administrative building.

Edward Hustinx Stipend
Also, during the celebration of the opening of the academic year, the Edward Hustinx Stipend was announced. This year's winner is Marc Dijk for his project 'Green mobility: a study of product competition, social-technical constituencies and technology spillovers'.
