Study facilities in the library
Learning and resource centres have been part of the University Library since as early as 1974. Now, they form an integral link pin for the entire library, and are made up of more than just the various reference-only books and materials that you can find in the centres at each library location.
Study places
During your studies at Maastricht University, you will have a range of study facilities at your disposal. Some of the furniture has been specially designed for this. For instance, at the Inner City Library you can organise study areas yourself by using the placement suggestions indicated on the carpet with a colour pattern. At the Randwyck Library, quiet areas are being set up.
Learning resources, computer and general facilities
Please feel free to make use of the hardcopy and digital learning resources on offer at the library. These include books and journals (the hardcopy collections as well as the eLibrary with e-journals and databases), computer facilities, various types of study places, lounges and other rooms. You also have access to resources such as printers, photocopiers and scanners, or you may like to work with the ‘big screens’, multi-touch screens or electronic whiteboards. Naturally, both library locations offer excellent general facilities.
Directions
Check the digital floor plan to find out where these facilities are located. This floor plan will be adjusted to take account of the new study facilities in the Randwyck Library.
