Study facilities in the library

Learning and resource centres have been part of the Maastricht University Library since as early as 1974. Nowadays they are made up of more than just the various reference-only books and materials that you can find there.  

Study places

During your studies at Maastricht University, you will have a range of study facilities at your disposal. Some of the furniture has been specially designed. At the Inner City Library for instance you can reorganise study areas yourself by using the placement suggestions indicated on the carpet with a colour pattern.

Learning resources, computer and general facilities

Please feel free to make use of the hardcopy and digital learning resources at the library. These include books and journals (the hardcopy collections) as well as the eLibrary with e-journals, e-books and databases, computer facilities, various types of study places, lounges and other rooms. You also have access to printers, photocopiers, scanners, ‘big screens’, multi-touch screens or electronic whiteboards.
