By car
A2/E25 motorway from the North
- Via the Noorderbrug; parking in the Vrijthof underground car park
At the first traffic lights (on the motorway), turn right for Hasselt/Centrum.
Cross the bridge and follow the directions to Hasselt.
At the traffic lights, follow the directions to Hasselt/Tongeren/Luik (twice).
At the roundabout, follow directions to Tongeren/Luik.
Turn left at the next traffic lights. Follow the directions to the Vrijthof car park.
From the underground car park, it is about ten minutes walk to the Inner City Library:
Vrijthof > St. Jacobstraat > Kapoenstraat > Achter de Molens > Grote Looiersstraat.
- Across the Kennedybrug (Kennedy bridge); parking in the immediate vicinity of the Inner City Library
If you are entering Maastricht via the motorway (A2 at the De Geusselt intersection), go straight ahead through four sets of traffic lights. Take the 'Centrum N278' exit (to the right).
At the end of the bridge, turn right at the traffic lights, into the Hubertuslaan.
You may park your car in this street (paid parking).
Go straight on, cross the bridge over the 'Jeker', and turn left into the Nieuwenhofstraat. The passage on the other side of the street will take you to the entrance of the Inner City Library.
A2/E25 motorway from the South
Take the 'Centrum, N278' exit. Cross the bridge (Kennedybrug).
- Parking in the Vrijthof underground car park
Go straight ahead at the first two sets of traffic lights.
Go straight ahead at the roundabout (Tongerseplein).
At the next set of traffic lights, follow the signs to the centre (Centrum), to the Vrijthof car park; from the car park, the library is a few minutes away by foot:
Vrijthof > St. Jacobstraat > Kapoenstraat > Achter de Molens > Grote Looiersstraat. - Parking in the immediate vicinity of the Inner City Library
At the end of the bridge, turn right at the traffic lights, into the Hubertuslaan/Henri Hermanspark. You may park your car in this street (paid parking).
Go straight on, cross the bridge over the Jeker, and turn left into the Nieuwenhofstraat.
The passage on the other side of the street will take you to the entrance of the Inner City Library.
By train
Leave the train at Maastricht Central Station. Then take any of the following buses.
By bus
At the station, take bus 6 (Dousberg), 7 (to Wolder), 9 (Maastricht) or 53 (Maastricht).
Get off the bus at the Papenstraat. A short walk will take you to the Inner City Library: Bouillonstraat > Tongersestraat > Ezelmarkt > Kleine Looiersgracht > Grote Looiersstraat.
By bus from the 'Kommel' to Maastricht Central Station
First take a walk: Grote Looiersstraat > Kleine Looiersgracht > Ezelmarkt > Tongersestraat > Abtstraat > Kommel. <br/> Then take bus 6 (Eysden), bus 7 (Meerssen) or bus 10 (Maastricht).

It is approximately 20 minutes walk from Maastricht Central Station:
Stationstraat > Wycker Brugstraat > Servaasbrug > Vissersmaas > Houtmaas > Onze Lieve Vrouweplein > Cortenstraat > Witmakersstraat > Achter de Molens > Grote Looiersstraat.
