Access
The Maastricht University Library is accessible only for persons with a UM card.
Borrowing books and interlibrary loan services are also restricted to those with a UM card. This card is also used as a card for copying and printing and (in the Inner City) for accessing the lockers.
The subsections listed in the menu at the left provide specific information on the UM card in relation to the library, for:
- staff and students of Maastricht University (UM), staff of the teaching hospital (Academisch Ziekenhuis Maastricht, azM), and staff and students of the University of Midwifery Education & Studies Maastricht (AVMU)
- alumni
- other library users.
Access for disabled persons
Both library sites, Inner City and Randwyck, are readily accessible for disabled persons: they can reach nearly all areas with a lift. In the Randwyck Library is one desk for disabled users; the Inner City Library has two desks. The height of the desk can be adjusted electrically. Disabled persons who need assistance, can apply to our staff (you’ll recognise them by their red shirts).
