Tania Isacu
Tania Isacu is a bachelor student of the European Law School (English track), originally from Bucharest, Romania. After completing a Mathematics - and Science - oriented education in her home country, she spent one year studying the BA Arts and Culture at Maastricht University. During this period she discovered a keen interest in Law and thus commenced her studies with the Faculty of Law in 2012. Besides Romanian and English, she also speaks German and Dutch, and is currently studying French.
Nina Koivula
Nina Koivula is a LL.B. student of the European Law School (ELT) from Oulu, Finland. She enrolled in Maastricht University in 2011 after finishing her International Baccalaureate Diploma Programme. Her interests include – amongst legal research in general – EU law, family law and harmonization in the sphere of European private law.
Yanitsa Maksimova
Yanitsa Maksimova is a Bachelor student of European Law School (English track) from Bulgaria. Her desire to study law and to pursue a legal career stems from a project at her high school devoted to the subject as well as court trials she has visited. After gaining some administrative experience, Yanitsa became a member of the Delegation Committee of UNSA in October 2012. She has a keen interest in Private law, and is also open to other various and challenging fields. Along with assisting M-EPLI with its activities, Yanitsa is seriously motivated to improve her German and French skills.
Christian Pfeiffer
Christian Pfeiffer is a second year Bachelor student doing the European Law School - English language track at Maastricht University. Being German, he did his primary education in Germany (Potsdam). Before coming to Maastricht in 2011, Christian attained the IB (International Baccalaureate) Diploma at an English Boarding School. Next to being an M-EPLI student assistant, he is also Treasurer for the ELSA Maastricht. Christian has a keen interest in European Private Law harmonisation, particularly with regard to property law issues.
Ludwig Ritter
Ludwig Ritter is 22 years old and originally comes from Munich, Germany. Prior to starting his studies at Maastricht University, Ludwig completed a Bachelor in International Business at Concordia University in Montreal where he lived for six years. He is currently studying European Law, and his primary interest lies in the field of comparative private law.
Katerina Suralova
Katerina Suralova is a Bachelor student of the European Law School – English track from Brno, Czech Republic. Katerina came to Maastricht University after graduating from secondary grammar school with specialization in languages (English, German and Latin) next to the regular curriculum. In March 2010 she started with private tutoring focused on languages and has continued to help students at the University with preparation for various law courses. In February 2013 she became a member of M-EPLI as student assistant. Katerina is interested in comparative law, especially regarding contract law issues.
Pavel Tehlar
Pavel Tehlar is a Bachelor student of the European Law School (English track) from Bratislava, Slovakia. Pavel came to Maastricht University in 2010 after periods studying business law at the Wirtschaftsuniversitaet in Vienna and working as a legal assistant at the Council for Broadcasting and Retransmission in Bratislava. In December 2010 he started to work for the Promo Team of the Faculty of Law, and in April 2012 he began collaborating with M-EPLI as a student assistant. Pavel has a keen interest in European Private Law developments, particularly with regards to property law issues.
Rory Willson
Rory Willson is a bachelor student of the European Law School (English Track) from Henley-on-Thames, England. Rory came to Maastricht in September 2011 and is part of a small but growing contingent of British students at Maastricht University. Before coming to Maastricht, he completed his compulsory education in the United Kingdom, obtaining his A-Levels in early 2011. Rory has a keen interest in Private International Law and the role of the Common Law tradition in European Private Law harmonisation.
