IGIR Professional Training & Courses
IGIR and its fellows have long been involved in professional training and course delivery all around the globe. Several of these activities have become long-term engagements. These activities form an excellent opportunity to sign up for courses and become acquainted with the latest IGIR and its partners have to offer in terms of education and professional training.
Annual Intellectual Property Seminar, IP Law School, and Professional Update, Macao SAR, China
For the Institute for European Studies of Macao, Prof. Kamerman Sanders has been involved in organising an annual event on intellectual property law since the year 2000. Through IGIR he is now involved in three connected activities: the Annual Intellectual Property Seminar, the IP Law School and the Professional Update.
China EU School of Law, Beijing, China
Maastricht University Faculty of Law is the only Dutch partner in the consortium that forms the China-EU School of Law (CESL) in Beijing. CESL is based at the campus of the Chinese University of Political Science and Law in Beijing. IGIR fellows are responsible for the course Introduction to WTO Law since the inception of the master programme of European and International Law in 2008. IGIR fellows are also involved in the delivery of professional training, most notably in the field of intellectual property law (Beijing, October 2009; Beijing and Shanghai, October 2010).
Campus Brussels is Maastricht University's hub for delivering high-quality post-academic courses, professional training right in the heart of Europe. For IGIR it is the place where it engages in high-level activities alone or with partners on issues concerning European law and policy (e.g. IP and Standards, EU-Asia trade relations, etc.).
