SBE’s MSc International Business enters top 25 in Financial Times ranking

Published on 29-09-2008

After making an appearance on  the list for the first time in 2007 at a very respectable 28th place, the Maastricht University School of Business and Economics (SBE) climbed three places this year and can now boast being among the 25 best Business schools in Europe to offer Masters in Management programmes, according to the Financial Times.

Three of SBE's current partner universities find themselves in the top 10:, Grenoble Graduate School of Business (5), EDHEC Business School (9), and Mannheim Business School (10). SBE is negotiating Double Degree contracts with ESCP-EAP and Mannheim, and has recently extended its DD contract with EDHEC to 15 students per year.

SBE is also in the process of expanding its network of Double Degree partners outside Europe: in June a double degree contract was signed with Queen’s School of Business in Canada and a similar contract with the University of Adelaide is expected to be signed before the end of this year.

The Financial Times ranking is based on two different surveys. In one survey alumni were asked about their current job, employer and salary, as well as about career services and customer satisfaction. Another required the faculty to submit data on the number of foreign students and employees, the language of instruction, international mobility, and other relevant issues.
