Founding
The Maastricht University School of Business and Economics (SBE) is the youngest economics and business school in The Netherlands. It was founded in 1983, and started after one year of preparations, with 100 students under the responsibility of approximately 12 academic staff members.
Since then, SBE has been the fastest growing economics and business school in The Netherlands. To date, the School comprises about 3,750 students and employs 182 fte academic faculty staff, 54 fte PhD students and 83 fte administrative staff.
