Key research skills
Programmes are designed for researchers who are looking for a challenging and stimulating academic or scientific career and/or who want to pursue a PhD. They are led by GSBE fellows, who are key researchers at the School.
You will focus on key research skills, including:
- research design;
- data sources;
- statistical tools;
- research methodologies.
You will practise written communication in short, intensive workshops. You’ll receive training in making presentations and public speaking in a five-day intensive course. This covers different forms of academic presentation relevant to researchers: structuring your presentation, engaging and interacting with your audience, non-verbal communication and dealing with unforeseen events.
