Strategy and Innovation

Creating competitive advantage through change

Strategy and an innovative mindset are vital to the viability and performance of today’s businesses. This applies as much to established international organisations as it does for smaller companies looking to grow. A company that does not seek growth opportunities through mergers and acquisitions or expansion into new markets, or through introducing new products and processes, will find it hard to compete.

Internationally recognised research
The Strategy and Innovation track is founded on the top research conducted at Maastricht  University in the fields of innovation and technology. Taught in small groups by internationally recognised lecturers, you will gain a deep analytical understanding of the strategic decisions facing international companies and how important innovation is for sustainable business development. You will be presented with real-life case studies, which will allow you to explore issues such as competitive analysis of a company’s market environment, entrepreneurship and mergers and acquisition. The track’s strong focus on practical application of your knowledge means you will have plenty of opportunity to discuss the strategic implications of these issues and present viable solutions to them.

Strategy and Innovation is available as a 1-year, full-time programme or a 2-year, part-time programme. Courses are taught entirely in English. Graduates will a master's degree in International Business with a specialisation in Strategy and Innovation.
