Student profile
You should have a keen interest in purchasing, logistics, operations management and/or supply chain management. It is important to see supply chains as part of a greater whole. Every business is part of a supply chain and has to cooperate with other parties; but supply chains are also the means by which products and services are transported, ultimately to a customer. So you should have good interpersonal and communication skills and be customer oriented. Managing and improving supply chains require the ability to look at problems analytically and creatively, so a flexible and open-minded attitude is essential.
Are you interested in supply chain processes and how they can benefit company profitability and end-user experiences? Does the global flow of goods and services fascinate you? Are you interested in every link of the supply chain, from product development to distribution? Can you see the competitive advantage of reducing the time to market of new products? Do you have a strong customer focus and the desire to meet consumer needs? If so, then this track is for you.
