In a knowledge society, information is becoming an increasingly important business resource; and new information and Internet-based technologies mean that knowledge can be disseminated faster than ever before. However, businesses also face the challenges of having to protect their information and adapt to ever-changing technologies. Information Management will give you a profound insight into the role information plays in the productivity and competitiveness of today’s companies and how it can be strategically managed and integrated into business processes.
What will you learn?
This track combines courses that cover different aspects of information. These include information management and information systems and IT in a global business environment. You will graduate with a thorough understanding of information management and flows and how they can be employed optimally within international organisations. You will also learn how to use information and knowledge to create value for a company.
At the end of the track, you will be able to:
• think logically and analytically about information management problems
• offer improvements and innovations to a company’s information needs
• discuss information management on a strategic level
• manage international and multicultural IT projects and teams
