Student profile

You should have a genuine interest in the developments, decisions and debates surrounding European economic policies. You should already have a basic understanding of micro- and macroeconomics, whilst an affinity for numbers is a plus. You should be self-motivated but also enjoy working with others. A bachelor’s degree in economics is an advantage but other disciplines are welcome.

Are you an open-minded, analytical thinker who’s unafraid to express your own opinions? Fascinated by the economics of the European Union? Then where better to study than in Maastricht? Home to the Maastricht Treaty and close to Europe’s capital Brussels, European Economic Policy at Maastricht  University combines the study of macroeconomic, fiscal, monetary and social policies in a European context.
