Controlling
Assessing information for informed decisions
Controllers gather, prepare, interpret and assess information, which puts them in a good position to advise managers about the decisions they should make. If you are interested in the people side of the numbers, then Controlling could be for you – it focuses specifically on management control rather than audit, assurance or accountancy.
Performance assessment techniques
Controllers use performance-assessment and costing techniques in order to make the best business decisions. Some of these types of situations might include:
• interpreting information relating to profitability
• analysing the success of product A vs. product B
• assessing employee performance within an organisation
• determining whether a merger or acquisition is viable
Controlling is a 1-year, full-time programme and is taught entirely in English. Graduates will a master's degree in International Business with a specialisation in Controlling.
