Making better business decisions

This track combines three distinct areas of study: strategy, financial accounting and information management. Leading internationally renowned experts in each of these three fields contribute to the track.

Business Intelligence has two major applications: firstly, IT companies, such as SAP, Oracle and other companies developing CRM systems, use Business Intelligence to find solutions to customer relationship management problems. Secondly, other companies use Business Intelligence to find out what’s going on in their industry, especially amongst their competitors.

Real-life cases
Examples of well-known case studies you’ll use to test out business models include:

• decisions about a 3G network auction for mobile phone operators
• strategic buying decisions for a European office rental company
• profit analysis for leveraged takeover of a bank by hedge funds
• revenue management for an airline company
