Leadership Development Trajectory
The Leadership Development Trajectory (LDT) is a signature component of the MBA programmes at Maastricht University School of Business and Economics. The trajectory enhances self-awareness and improves management and leadership skills.
The LDT is an integral part of the curriculum. The objective of the trajectory is to increase personal effectiveness through an insight into your own management and leadership skills and capabilities. To accomplish this, you are assigned a personal coach, you are linked to a fellow-student in a buddy coaching system, and you actively participate in mutual learning groups, interactive workshops and trainings.
During the trajectory, you are stimulated to become more aware of your personal motives, values, qualities, limiting thinking patterns as well as their effects. Your personal effectiveness will increase by:
- insights gained in professional coaching sessions, buddy coaching sessions and mutual learning groups;
- personal feedback and skills trainings during the modules;
- competence development during team assignments.
As a result you will develop self awareness, consciously and gradually abandon limiting thinking patterns, experiment with new behaviour, reflect on the effects, celebrate successes and failures, and formulate new goals. This circle of awareness, action, reflection and deepened awareness serves only one goal: to increase personal effectiveness.
