School of Business and Economics

Fiscale Economie is an ideal track for anyone with an interest in taxation as well as the economic and legal consequences of taxation. The track is taught partly in Dutch and is very much focused on tax and tax laws as they apply to the Netherlands. However, you will also cover topics such as European tax law more widely and these parts of the track will be taught in English. This track is thus aimed at Dutch students with an international focus or international students with a very high level of Dutch who intend to go on to work in tax in the Netherlands.

You will take a range of compulsory courses that give you an in-depth academic understanding of taxation, accountancy, corporate and value-added tax and other essential fiscal areas. You will also be able to choose elective courses that match your personal interests or career ambitions.

Top-quality education

Fiscale Economie is recognised for its quality by the Dutch Order of Tax Advisors (NOB). The track is also fortunate enough to have a distinguished advisory board of tax experts. This means that course materials are always up-to-date and that you can benefit from a network of guest lecturers working in the field.

Fiscale Economie is a 1-year, full-time programme and is taught in both Dutch and English. Graduates will a master's degree in Fiscale Economie.
