Study with a disability
Maastricht University considers physical, mental or sensory impairment, and chronic illness disabilities. For disabled students studying often means extra time and effort. There are special provisions for students with a disability or students who have physical or mental complaints during the course of their studies.
Depending on the disability, Maastricht University has different possibilities and provisions to make studying easier. These provisions can often limit, or even avoid, unnecessary study delays without interfering with the educational quality. In this section you will find all relevant information about studying with a disability, such as:
- reporting a disability
- request for provisions
- solutions for obstacles to studying
- disability organisations
- information for tutors
- laws and policies regarding disabilities
Maastricht University analyses each application carefully and endeavours to find the right solutions and provisions, checking their feasibility for each student’s situation.
