The Faculty of Psychology and Neuroscience (FPN) has been a constant at the top of national master's programme rankings for the past years.

Bachelor’s

After years at the top, the bachelor's programme takes a mid-position at shared sixth place according to ‘Keuzegids Hoger Onderwijs Universiteiten 2013’. The bachelor's programme ended at seventh place in Elsevier's ‘Beste Studies 2012’. The faculty aspires to once again take a top place in the national rankings with the bachelor's programme.

Master’s

The one-year Master in Psychology ended on a shared 2nd place in the ‘Keuzegids Masters 2013’. The scores are all average to above average. The Research Master in Cognitive and Clincial Neuroscience also takes 2nd place. The Master in Forensic Psychology ended on a shared first place in the cluster Criminology, in which editorial staff of the Keuzegids have combined all master's programmes in the field of criminology, administration of justice and forensic psychology. The Master in Mental Health, which is organized by the Faculty of Health, Medicine and Life Sciences but is provided by lecturers of the Faculty of Psychology and Neuroscience, climbed from second place to first place in the category Psychology and Health.

German Centre for Higher Education Development

The bachelor’s and master’s programmes have landed ninth place in the CHE HochschulRanking 2013 in the opinion of students about the entire programme. Amongst other items, the courses offered, the research orientation and the number of citations per publication also ranked the Faculty of Psychology and Neuroscience in the ‘top group’. A total of 50 psychology faculties from Germany, the Netherlands and several from Austria participated in the ranking. QS World University Ranking – Psychology 2013

In the Psychology QS World University Rankings 2013, the Faculty of Psychology and Neuroscience had a strong climb to the 37th place. The Faculty of Psychology and Neuroscience held a place of 100-150 in the 2012 ranking. QS looks at aspects such as academic reputation, quotes per publication and H-index quotes.
