Ethical Committee Psychology (ECP)
Ethical aspects of research projects are evaluated by the faculty’s standing ethical committee. All research initiatives at our faculty must receive approval by this committee. Both programmes are represented in the ethical committee, each with two members. A jurist also has his seat in the committee. Ethical approval can be sought through filling out an electronic application form (in Dutch). Next to decisions on ethical approval of studies, the committee also decides whether studies are subject to the Medical Research Involving Human Subjects Act (WMO). If studies fall under the WMO, researchers are referred to an accredited review committee (METC).
The ethical committee meets on a monthly basis.
