Bachelor's in Psychology

Psychology is all about people. Psychologists want to understand, explain, predict and, if necessary, change how people think and what they do. Some try to understand how children are able to learn a language through play, while others study the connection between the activity of a neurotransmitter in the brain and depression.

Psychologists also develop methods to change people's ideas or behaviour. They help people break bad habits, like smoking or not listening properly. They also help people overcome their fears. Psychologists have helped people stop attributing night sounds to a burglar or the twinges in their bodies to a deadly disease. You can see from these examples that psychology is an enormously broad field.

The programme Psychology is taught in Dutch, combined with an obligatory language test (NT2 or CNaVT) for non-Dutch students. Both regular students and exchange students are given the possibility to follow courses fully in English."
