Subsidiary students

Studying at another faculty within or outside Maastricht University and would you like to study at the Faculty of Psychology and Neuroscience? It's possible.

If you're studying at another faculty of Maastricht University and would like to take a subsidiary subject at the Faculty of Psychology and Neuroscience (FPN), then you should submit a request to your own faculty within the booking window of the relevant course. A contact person of your faculty will contact a contact person of our faculty to determine whether your level corresponds with the subjects you wish to take. Take into account that the communication between faculties will take extra time! Therefore, we recommend that you submit your request in time, that is well within the booking window of the relevant course.

Students from outside Maastricht University are welcome to study at the Faculty of Psychology and Neuroscience. They must submit a request to that effect – no later than six weeks before starting the relevant course – to the Education Office by the form guest student. The form should be accompanied by a recent transcript and a copy of the Certificate of Enrolment. The Board of Examiners of the faculty will decide, while also taking into consideration the applicant’s previous training, whether the applicant will be allowed to follow the course as a subsidiary subject. In case of approval and availability of enough places, the secretariat of the Education office will inform the student about schedules and materials.
