Overview of courses
The bachelor's in Psychology programme at Maastricht University is almost entirely offered in English. Each year of the bachelor's programme consists of four course periods in which two courses are offered in parallel and two short periods. All courses conclude with a written exam or paper. During the first part of the third year, students have the opportunity to choose from a variety of courses to complete their electives.
Bachelor

Master
The one-year master’s in Psychology programme offers six specializations within Applied Cognitive Psychology and Biological Psychology:
- Health and Social Psychology
- Psychology and Law
- Work and Organisational Psychology
- Neuropsychology
- Developmental Psychology
- Cognitive Neuroscience
Important note:
Only exchange students who have obtained 180 ECTS during their bachelor programme (or equivalent) are allowed to choose a maximum of 2 master’s courses from the one-year master’s programme in psychology. This option is only possible for fall students, since the second part of the master’s programme is devoted to a research internship.
Courses from the research master or forensic master programme are not open to exchange students.
