Selection procedure
The best 3% of students from each year of study will be selected per faculty. Each faculty has its own selection criteria based on a number of UM-wide criteria. The scheme will be introduced for first-year students in all bachelor’s and master’s programmes in the coming academic year, and will be phased in during the following years. All students will be eligible to compete for a scholarship or award every year. In this way, a student managing to stay in the top 3% will be able to finish his or her entire studies without having to pay tuition. Other expenses and living costs are not covered by the scheme.
The FHML selection procedure differs for the Medicine and the Health Sciences (HS) / Biomedical Sciences (formerly Molecular Life Sciences) (BMS) / European Public Health (EPH) clusters. The clusters distinguish between bachelor and master.
