Diploma Supplement
Maastricht University issues a Diploma Supplement (DS) for its degree programmes. The DS is issued in English, given automatically and free of charge to every student upon graduation.
The DS is an internationally recognized document attached to the diploma in which the nature, level, context, content and status of the successfully completed degree programme is evaluated independently, as stated in the certificate in question of which the DS forms an integral part. It is free from any value judgments and concerns exclusively the degree programme followed by the student. The aim of the Diploma Supplement is to stimulate international ‘transparency’ and recognition of certificates obtained at home or abroad.
