Admissions

Admission requirements

Applicants must have one of the following:

  • a bachelor’s degree in Biomedical Sciences issued by either Maastricht University or Hasselt University in Diepenbeek
  • a bachelor’s degree issued by another Dutch or Flemish University in Biomedical Sciences, Molecular Life Sciences, Life Sciences and Technology or Medical Natural Sciences
  • a university bachelor’s degree in a relevant field composed of at least 180 ECTS (an interview and additional requirements may be imposed by the Board of Admissions)
  • a non-university bachelor’s degree in a relevant field issued by a Dutch, Flemish or German Higher Education Programmes (HBO, Fachhochschule, University of Applied Sciences). The relevant programme runs for at least four years the equivalent of nominal study time (for example, Dutch: 240 ECTS, Flemish: 180 ECTS, German: 180 ECTS).
    An interview will be part of the selection procedure.

Applicants, who are non-native speakers of English and have not obtained an English-taught bachelor, must also submit proof of having participated in the IELTS test and a score (not older than five years at the commencement date of the programme) equal to or higher than 6.5.
Instead of the IELTS test, proof of having participated in a TOEFL test and a score (not older than five years at the commencement date of the programme) equal to or higher than 575 (paper based), 233 (computer based) or 90 (internet based) will be accepted. 

Applicants should ensure that their educational transcripts include an official translation into English.

  • Motivation letter in English
  • Copy of your IELTS/TOEFL results (if applicable).
