Advisory Board

The new Master of Health Professions Education programme, that has started in June 2006, has been developed by a broad group of experts of the Maastricht Faculty of Health, Medicine and Life Sciences, with the advice of alumni of previous versions of the programme.

The new programme is externally monitored by an international Advisory Board. This Advisory Board is comprised of international and national researchers and professionals who have outstanding reputations in the field of medical and health sciences education. The Advisory Board has agreed to review and benchmark the programme on a regular basis. The Board is consulted annually by the MHPE Programme Director and they can give unsolicited advice.

Members of the Advisory Board are: Professor John Norcini (USA), Professor Dame Lesley Southgate (UK), Professor Henk Schmidt (The Netherlands), and two alumni from a preceding version of the MHPE programme, Dr. Carol Nyambura (Kenya) and Dr. Alberto Alves de Lima (Argentina).
