Career prospects

Graduates of MSc Health Food Innovation Management will be able to independently develop and implement innovation and entrepreneurial activity at all levels of the food and beverage industry.



Our graduates:


  • will be able to merge scientific data in new ideas and concepts which benefit the consumer and are economically attractive;
  • will have the insights and skills to help develop scientifically sound intervention study concepts with the selection of appropriate biomarkers;
  • will be able to discuss trends and developments in a manner that will help facilitate cooperation between the technical and commercial branches;
  • will be able to translate scientific evidence for product benefits into sound consumer benefit claims acceptable to the food authorities;
  • will be able to identify relevant trends and developments in the areas of “Nutrition and Health sciences”, “Consumer Sciences” as well as the corresponding “Regulatory and Food Law developments” ;
  • will be able to improve interaction between research and business departments;
  • will be able to facilitate knowledge transfer between departments that focus on regulatory issues/food law, consumer sciences, research and healthy eating matters;
  • will be able to help improve efficiency, reduce failure, reduce costs and improve time to market in the innovation and new product development process.

Graduates of the msc health food innovation management programme have many career opportunities and may find jobs in companies and organizations that focus their agro-food related activities on the management interface between product development, research and  technolgy. Examples:
