Health Sciences

Everyone will agree that there is nothing as important as good health. But how do you maintain good health? And what do you do when you get sick despite your best efforts? The bachelor’s programme in Health Sciences at Maastricht University examines the many factors that either promote or harm health.

Broad and versatile programme
The Health Sciences programme is the broadest of its kind in Europe. We approach health from a variety of relevant scientific perspectives to gain a holistic overview of health sciences. The programme is versatile, providing a broad offering of courses. Students engage in multidisciplinary, small-scale, Problem-Based Learning. The ambitions, interests and potentialities of you, the student, take the leading role.

Job opportunities
There are many job opportunities for Health Sciences graduates throughout the Netherlands and abroad. The programme is internationally renowned and cooperates with universities in the Netherlands and throughout Europe. More than one third of our students come from outside the Netherlands. You will come into contact with many people from other countries and learn to look beyond national borders.

The bachelor’s in Health Sciences is a three-year programme taught in Dutch.
