Alumni Day 28.05.2011
Alumni Day 2011, your link to the past, present and future: 106 visitors attended the Faculty of Health, Medicine and Life Sciences faculty programme and around 1000 former students from 35 different countries visited the social programme in the City Centre.
On behalf of the Faculty of Health, Medicine and Life Sciences (FHML), I would like to extend a warm thank you for your participation in the 28 May 2011 Alumni Day faculty programme. I hope that the day lived up to your expectations and that you were able to reconnect with lost friends over lunch and catch up with the continued development of the university.
A special thanks to our speakers Dr. Marc Sprenger, Director of the European Centre for Disease Control, Dr. Marijke Wijnroks, Ambassador at Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Netherlands and finally, Dr. Leo Kohler, who graciously jumped in at the last minute to replace Dr. Willem Voncken who was recovering from an illness. In spite of your busy schedules, your enthusiasm for the alumni and your willingness to help promote the university does not go unnoticed.
A note of thanks to Dr. Albert Scherpbier, who only recently assumed the position of Dean FHML, for finding the time to welcome our guests!
Have a look at the photos for an impression of the Alumni Day.
Sometime soon I will forward a brief evaluation to all of those who attended. Your input is vital to the success of the alumni association. As your alumni coordinator it is my intention to better bridge the lines of communication between the central Alumni Office, the faculty administration and of course, the alumni circles.
Feel free to contact me with ideas or questions.
Yours sincerely,
Lori Mees
