PhD vacancies
Do you consider starting as a PhD candidate at our faculty? You can do so either as a salaried staff member or as a non-salaried (external) PhD.
There are two moments at which different types of vacancies in our Graduate School are opened:
- Throughout the year, vacancies my become available when new externally funded research projects start. These PhD places will be part of the larger research project and are therefore already specified thematically. Click here to find out whether such vacancies are currently open.
- Once a year (starting in January), we hold an open competition for places in our Graduate School. While we make some research suggestions, you can also apply with your own ideas, provided that our faculty can offer the necessary expertise for supervising you. If you want to pursue your PhD as an "external" PhD candidate (for example because you want to write a PhD besides your professional employment), you should get in contact with one of the senior staff of the faculty to discuss supervision possibilities.
