Programme information
This programme is designed to train young academics in advanced research and analysis. Graduates will be equipped to independently carry out a high and competitive level of research within the field of European Studies. They will be fully prepared to work as a researcher in the field, will have an extensive knowledge in the various disciplines taught in the programme and will have the ability to work and communicate in a multidisciplinary team of academics and non-academics.
The Research Master European Studies prepares its graduates for two types of career paths. Some will opt for an academic career and will compete for a PhD position. Others will be employed by public and private research institutes and think tanks at national, European and international levels.
The research master is a full time, two-year programme. From the very beginning the teaching of theories, concepts and advanced knowledge necessary to perform research in the field of European Studies is supported by the teaching of methodology and practical skills. During each module students will have the opportunity to conduct independent research.
