Analysing Europe
The Master of Arts “Analysing Europe” is designed to provide training for students of different backgrounds and to broaden their knowledge of theories and methods, which are relevant to critical study of European integration. It aims to equip students with the skills necessary to conduct independent research analysing European political, economic and social phenomena. The programme is directed at students who would like to develop their analytical skills and who expect to pursue careers where independent intellectual work is leading. This programme will prepare students for internationally-oriented jobs in public administration, policy analysis, consultancy, journalism and academia. This one-year research-oriented programme is taught completely in English.
Important information:
As from September 2012, the master’s programme Analysing Europe will be discontinued. The reason for discontinuing the programme is that it has fulfilled its role as a forerunner for our two-year research master’s (MSc) programme in European Studies, which was launched in 2009 and operates successfully ever since. FASoS considers it unnecessary to uphold two research-oriented programmes in the field of European Studies.
The discontinuation will not have any implications for the cohort of students starting their studies in September 2011. They will experience the same conditions for study progress, examinations and graduation as all prior cohorts. Students enrolled in the 2011/2012 academic year can find more information on their courses in the left-hand menu (click on "course descriptions").
It is not possible anymore to apply for the academic year 2011/2012.
The application deadlines for 2011/2012 were:
1 April 2011 for Non-EU/EEA students
1 June 2011 for EU/EEA students
Students who already entered the programme will be offered the possibility to pass the overall assessment of the programme until 31 August 2014.
Students who wish to study a research-oriented master’s programme in European Studies as from the academic year 2012-2013 are encouraged to apply for our 2-year MSc programme. Please click here for more information.
