Curriculum Vitae
Sabrina Wirtz is a Doctoral Researcher at the International and European Law Department of the Faculty of Law of Maastricht University. She holds a bachelor’s degree in European Law (LL.B.) and obtained two LL.M.’s (cum laude) in European Law and Globalisation & Law from Maastricht University. During her Master studies she has been a student editor at the Maastricht Journal of European and Comparative Law. After her studies she joined the Legal Service of the European Medicines Agency as Trainee and later as Contract Agent.
Expertise
Sabrina’s principal areas of interest are European Institutional Law and Risk Regulation. Her PhD research addresses legitimacy concerns of Global Standards used in EU Risk Regulation, focusing on the areas of pharmaceuticals foodstuffs and chemicals.
Sabrina is scholar of the Maastricht Center of European Law and a member of the Ius Commune Research School.
She teaches European Institutional Law at the Faculty of Arts and Social Sciences.
