Drs. A.M.M. Thomassen, studeerde fiscale economie aan de Katholieke Universtiteit Brabant en is vanaf februari 1992 als part-time universitair docent kostprijs-verhogende belastingen verbonden aan de capaciteitsgroep Belastingrecht van de Universiteit Maastricht. Hij is daarnaast als belastingadviseur werkzaam in de algemene adviespraktijk van Accredo Belastingadviseurs B.V.
