Curriculum Vitae
David Taylor is a Tutor and Researcher at the Maastricht University Faculty of Law in the Department of Criminal Law and Criminology. He holds a Bachelor in Law and Criminology (first class with honours) from Cardiff University and a Master in the International and European Protection of Human Rights (summa cum laude) from the University of Utrecht. He also works as a researcher at the TMC Asser Instituut in The Hague and volunteers for Dutch NGO Impunity Watch.
From 2008 - 2010 he worked at the University of Utrecht as a junior researcher at the Centre for Conflict Studies, looking at the international response to the atrocities committed in Darfur.
Until January 2011, he will be tutoring the Master course, International Criminal Law and thereafter, will be employed as a researcher in the Department. Having been awarded a 'Top Talent' grant from the Maastricht Science Committee, he hopes to soon begin his PhD research, focusing on transitional justice and international criminal law.
