Josine Polak (1985) followed the BA programme in European Studies and the MA programme in European Public Affairs (both cum laude) at Maastricht University. After her studies, she worked as a junior lecturer and research assistant at the Faculty of Arts and Social Sciences, Department of Political Science within the same University. In January 2010, Josine assumed a position as junior researcher at the Faculty of Law, Department of Public Law. Josine’s research, which combines insights gained from both, political science and legal studies, focuses on the question of which legal and administrative mechanisms are effective for ensuring a more uniform application of directives throughout the EU.

Josine Polak (1985) volgde de bachelor European Studies en de master European Public Affairs aan de Universiteit van Maastricht (beide cum laude). Na haar studie werkte ze, eveneens in Maastricht, als junior docent en als onderzoeksassistent bij de Faculteit der Cultuur- en Maatschappijwetenschappen, capgroep Politieke Wetenschap. In januari 2010 is Josine als junior onderzoeker begonnen bij de Faculteit der Rechtsgeleerdheid, cagroep Publieksrecht. Haar interdisciplinaire onderzoek, dat bestuursrechtelijke en politiekwetenschappelijke inzichten combineert, focust op de vraag welke mechanismen effectief zijn om een meer uniforme toepassing van EU richtlijnen te verzekeren.
